What I write would fall under the umbrella of Horror, or Dark Fantasy I suppose. I have a great affection for “Weird Tales.” I don’t really think in terms of scares or horror, but what is real in the places that aren’t quite real.
Writing is something I have done off and on since I was very young. At the beginning of 2009 I decided to get serious about it. By serious I mean: read and study the craft, participate in a series of courses from Bram Stoker winner for Non Fiction Michael Knost, and write. My focus has been on short stories thus far, but I do have a novel I am chipping away at. I sent out my first submission in August of 2010. I don’t have any delusions of fame or riches, I just want to write good stories.
