I Need To Think Of An Album Title

Since getting my “studio” back in place a few weeks ago I have heard from some old friends I hadn’t heard from in years. I don’t think any of them had seen the blog post about recording, it was just a bit of cosmic tomfoolery.

Fall of Nature Records out of Australia also contacted me recently. As I have said before, I am out of the loop. I wasn’t familiar with the label. Talking with Karl, the label founder, was a refreshing exchange. We volleyed emails back and forth for a bit and he asked if I’d be interested in doing a collection of rare, unreleased, out of print etc. for him.

I’ve said before, I’m not sure what I’d do with a new record even if I had one. Given the state of music and record buying, if someone wanted to track down something out of print they would find somewhere to download it. But I like Karl and I like what he’s doing with his label, so I pondered it.

I don’t know precisely what the collection will include just yet.  I do have enough for a release that preserves the original hard to find stuff for those that bothered to track them down, that resuscitates a few obscure tracks and also includes some things no one has heard. Thus, for the first time in five or six years, I need to think of an album title. There is one on the shelf, but it won’t work for this.

We are shooting for an early 2012 release. More details as I have them, and in the meantime have a look at Fall Of Nature, whose recent output includes releases from the likes of Funerary Call, Subklinik.
